Open the DMG and drag MacWake to your Applications folder.
On notch MacBooks, MacWake blends into the hardware. Hover to expand — live power, battery health, temperatures, and a Shelf you can drop files onto.
Cap charging at 50–95% to cut long-term wear, across the full Apple Silicon M-series. Picks the best method your Mac actually supports. Where the SMC offers a charge-inhibit key, charging pauses and the Mac stays on adapter power; where it doesn’t (M4 and later so far), the limit is held by cutting adapter input, so the battery discharges down to it. Settings tells you which one you have.
Drain to a level you pick while plugged in — a charge limit can only stop charging, this brings a Mac sitting at 95% back down. Charging resumes on its own.
Charging, Display, Alerts, General and More — every setting has exactly one home, each with a one-line description of what it does.
Drift the battery in a band instead of micro-charging, plus a deep calibration cycle (discharge → full charge → hold) you start manually after confirmation, to keep the gauge accurate.
Install the macwake CLI and control charging from Terminal — status, charging, adapter, energy, fan.
Switch macOS Energy Mode — Automatic, Low Power, or High Power — straight from the menu.
On Macs with fans, set a target RPM. Reverts to automatic above 92°C as a safety failsafe. Experimental.
On notch Macs, a live panel with a Shelf: drop files to park them, grab your last copied text.
Show exactly what you want — icon, battery %, power, time remaining, temperature — with a live preview.
Notified when battery temperature climbs past 42°C — before sustained heat shortens capacity.
A timeline of your battery's maximum capacity. Watch the trend and know when to act.
Catches sudden 5%+ drops after wake-from-sleep and alerts you to runaway processes.
Staying at 100% for 24+ hours degrades lithium. MacWake warns you before it adds up.
